HVAC marketing case studies
real calls, rankings and growth.

Six HVAC companies, their markets and the Google numbers behind their growth, with what we did and how we measured it.

Short answer

These are real 2026 results from six HVAC companies Stryker Digital works with, taken from Google Business Profile data and map-ranking grids. NexAir Home Services grew from $1M to $4M in yearly revenue and got 841 calls from Google in six months. Summit Heat & Air became the fastest-growing HVAC company in Tulsa, with Google calls up 127.1%. Cardinal Heating & Air got 495 calls, ECI Comfort 595, Shaull Heating & Air 658 profile interactions, and Gary Air 384 calls, up 12.6% on 2025. The work behind them is the same: Google Business Profile optimization, Google Maps SEO, local SEO pages, reviews and monthly reporting.

Most agency case-study pages give you a logo wall and a quote. This one gives you the numbers, the market, the timeframe, where each number came from and what we did, so you can judge for yourself. Every figure comes from the client's own Google Business Profile performance data or from the map-ranking grids in our monthly client reporting. Revenue figures are the owners' own, from their video interviews.

Results shown reflect individual client outcomes and are not guaranteed. Performance varies by market, competition and other factors.

What results do HVAC companies get with Stryker Digital?

More calls from Google and top-3 map rankings in the towns they serve. Across these six HVAC companies, Google Business Profiles produced between roughly 80 and 140 calls or customer actions a month in 2026, and most hold the top 3 across the majority of their ranking grids for their main keyword.

The numbers differ because the companies differ. NexAir runs five profiles across West Virginia; Summit is breaking into retail in a crowded Tulsa market; Cardinal is a $10M+ company in the Seattle area; Gary Air in Sarasota is a company where the goal is growing an already strong base. The common thread is the channel: homeowners searching Google and Maps, calling the companies at the top.

How did NexAir Home Services grow from $1M to $4M?

NexAir, a heating, cooling and plumbing company in Huntington and Charleston, West Virginia, had strong reviews but wasn't showing on Google Maps after a year with its previous SEO provider. Stryker audited and rebuilt its Google Business Profiles, set up one real profile per market and backed them with local SEO. NexAir now ranks top 3 on Maps in every market we track, got 841 calls from Google from April to September 2026, and grew from $1M to $4M in yearly revenue.

Owner Jeremy Payne started NexAir from zero, with no acquired customer list. His reviews were strong, but his profile "wasn't even fully set up" after 12 months with his first provider. The fix was a deep audit of every profile, then one profile for each real market NexAir serves: Huntington, Hurricane, Charleston, Beckley and Bancroft. Monthly calls rose from 74 in April 2026 to a high of 178, about 140 a month on average across the five profiles.

Lesson for other HVAC owners: reviews alone don't rank you. If your profile is incomplete or in the wrong categories, Google won't show it, however many five-star reviews it has. Read the full NexAir case study, with the call data by profile, the ranking grids and Jeremy's own account.

How did Summit Heat & Air become the fastest-growing HVAC company in Tulsa?

Summit did just over $1M in 2025, mostly from B2B work. To win homeowners in a Tulsa market full of large competitors, Stryker optimized its Google Business Profile, published new local SEO pages and built its rating through the off-season, so rankings were in place before summer. Calls from Google reached 268 from April to August 2026, up 127.1% on the same months of 2025.

Owner Logan Haskett's plan was explicit: do the work in winter and cash it in when AC season hits. Calls held at 34 to 40 a month through spring, then jumped to 76 in July and 82 in August. Summit holds 57% of its Tulsa ranking grid in Google's top 3 for "HVAC contractor tulsa", which is strong for a big metro where several established brands compete for the same searches.

What results did Cardinal Heating & Air get in Seattle?

Cardinal Heating & Air, a $10M+ a year HVAC company in the Seattle area owned by Aashish Chenna, got 495 calls from its Google Business Profile from February to July 2026, averaging about 82 a month and peaking at 146 in June. 95% of its ranking grid sits in Google's top 3 for "hvac kirkland."

Monthly calls climbed steadily through the year: 32 in February, 55 in March, 71 in April, 73 in May, 146 in June and 118 in July. For a large company, the profile is one channel among many, but owning nearly the whole grid in a suburb like Kirkland means Cardinal is the default answer for homeowners searching there.

What results did ECI Comfort get in Langhorne, PA?

ECI Comfort in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, owned by Chase Musser, got 595 calls from its Google Business Profile from March to July 2026, about 119 a month, with a high of 144 and 131 in July.

Monthly calls ran 105 in March, 95 in April, 120 in May, 144 in June and 131 in July. ECI's grid tells an honest story too: 24% of the grid is in Google's top 3 for "Langhorne HVAC installation", a competitive install keyword in the Philadelphia suburbs. That's the next growth target. We show the number because a case study that only shows wins can't help you judge an agency.

What results did Shaull Heating & Air Conditioning get in Michigan?

Shaull Heating & Air Conditioning in Charlotte, Michigan, owned by Tyler Shaull, got 658 Google Business Profile interactions (calls, website clicks, direction requests and bookings) from April to September 2026, about 110 a month. It ranked #2 locally for "ac repair" on September 17, 2026, with 80% of its grid in the top 3.

Shaull is a smaller-market example. In a town like Charlotte, a homeowner's search often covers surrounding rural areas too, so grid coverage matters as much as the single rank in town. Holding 80% of the grid in the top 3 means Shaull shows up for most of the homeowners searching across its service area.

What results did Gary Air get in Sarasota?

Gary Air in Sarasota, Florida, owned by Rob Brooks, got 384 calls from its Google Business Profile from April to August 2026, up 12.6% from 341 in the same months of 2025. 84% of Sarasota ranks Gary Air in Google's top 3 for "hvac repair sarasota."

Gary Air shows what growth looks like for a company that already ranks well. Florida AC demand runs high most of the year, and the job is to keep the top spots and add to them. Forty-three more calls in five months, from the same market, is real revenue at HVAC ticket sizes.

What did Stryker do for these HVAC companies?

The same core system, tuned to each market: a full Google Business Profile audit and rebuild, one real profile per market where the business has a real location, local SEO pages for each core service and town, a steady review system, ranking-grid tracking and monthly reports the owner can check.

  1. Profile audit and rebuild. Categories, services, service area, description, hours, photos and links, checked against what Google needs to connect the business to searches like "ac repair" and "furnace repair". The checklist is in our HVAC Google Business Profile guide.
  2. One profile per real market. A profile ranks strongest near its address. Where the client has real locations in several towns, as NexAir does, each gets its own profile, within Google's guidelines. Shortcuts here get profiles suspended; see our suspended profile guide.
  3. Local SEO pages. Service and town pages on the client's website that back up the profile, published and shared with the owner as they go live. More in our HVAC SEO guide.
  4. Reviews. A repeatable ask after every job. Our best-performing clients get 25 new reviews a month.
  5. Grid tracking. Map rankings measured across the whole service area, not one point, so owners see where they win and where to push next. See our Google Maps SEO guide.
  6. AI visibility. The same profile, review and content work is what Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Gemini read when they recommend contractors. Our HVAC AI search guide covers the extra steps, like Bing.
  7. Monthly reporting. Calls by profile, grid snapshots and the work done that month. As Jeremy Payne puts it, "We always know what's done every single month on our account."

The numbers on this page are organic Google Business Profile results, not ad leads. Paid channels like Local Services Ads are tracked separately.

How are these HVAC results measured?

Calls and interactions come from each client's Google Business Profile performance report. Rankings come from map-ranking grids, which check the client's position at evenly spaced points across the service area for one keyword. Year-over-year figures compare the same months in 2025 and 2026. Revenue figures are the owners' own numbers from their interviews.

Two caveats worth knowing. Profile calls don't include calls from the website, ads or repeat customers, so they understate total leads. And months without full data are left out; ECI's August had no data reported yet when we pulled the numbers.

What patterns show up across these HVAC results?

Three patterns repeat: calls climb sharply in peak AC months once rankings are in place, multi-location companies grow fastest when each real market has its own profile, and smaller towns reach near-total grid coverage faster than big metros.

  • Summer peaks reward early work. Summit roughly doubled from June to July; Cardinal's best month was June; ECI peaked in June. Rankings built in the off-season captured the demand.
  • More real profiles, more calls. NexAir's five profiles produced 841 calls, with its largest profile alone at 269.
  • Market size changes the target. Cardinal holds 95% of its Kirkland grid and Gary Air 84% of Sarasota, while Summit's 57% in Tulsa and ECI's 24% for a competitive install keyword show how much harder big, crowded markets are.
  • Growth from a high base is smaller but real. Gary Air's +12.6% comes on top of an already strong year.

How long does it take an HVAC company to see results?

Usually a few months for clear movement in Maps rankings and calls, and one full season to see the payoff. Summit's SEO work ran through the 2025–26 off-season and its calls more than doubled in July and August 2026. NexAir went from not ranking on Maps to the top 3 in every tracked market after we rebuilt its profiles.

Your timeline depends on your starting point (a suspended or half-built profile takes longer), your market size, your competitors and how quickly you collect reviews. For budget context, see how much HVAC companies spend on marketing.

How should you judge an HVAC marketing agency's case studies?

Look for named companies and owners, specific numbers with a timeframe and source, results in markets like yours, video from the owner, and honest weak spots. Be wary of anonymous "an HVAC client" stories, percentages with no base number, and screenshots you can't verify.

  • Named client and owner. Can you look the company up and see it ranking?
  • Number, period and source. "495 calls from Google Business Profile, Feb–Jul 2026" can be checked. "300% more leads" can't.
  • Owner video. An owner on camera, in their own words, is harder to fake than a written quote.
  • Markets like yours. Results in a small town don't prove much about a big metro, and the reverse.
  • The full picture. Every market has keywords that are still being won. An agency that shows only perfect grids isn't showing everything.
  • Check them yourself. Search the client's main keyword in their town on Google Maps and see where they show up.

Which HVAC case study is most like your company?

Match on market size and starting point, not just trade. A new company with good reviews but no map presence looks like NexAir; a company moving from B2B into homeowner work looks like Summit; a large metro brand looks like Cardinal; an established small-town or single-market company looks like Shaull or Gary Air.
